St. Petersburg Bankruptcy Lawyers
Personal or business bankruptcy can be a frightening experience, as everything you have worked so hard to achieve may be at risk. However, filing for bankruptcy may be the best way to not only save your property, but your reputation as well.
Choosing the Type of Bankruptcy
For many years, Verona Law Group, P.A. has provided a wide array of bankruptcy services for clients. We offer our knowledge and experience to help you file for Chapter 7 (liquidation), or Chapter 13 (wage earner) personal bankruptcy, or Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy for your business. Bankruptcy typically prevents some foreclosures, and can help provide debt relief in terms of credit card debt or outstanding Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issues.
When we meet with you, we will carefully listen to you and ask questions regarding your assets, debts, income, and expenses. We will then explain each type of bankruptcy, along with the advantages and disadvantages of each. Finally, we will make a recommendation as to which type of bankruptcy would be most appropriate for your circumstances. Our goal is always to give you the information you need to make an informed decision.
Results of Bankruptcy Filing
Once your case is filed, the bankruptcy court notifies all of your creditors. At that point, creditors are legally prohibited from taking any action to enforce payment of your debts. As a result, creditors are not allowed to phone or write you, file a lawsuit, or continue with lawsuits that they have already filed.
If you choose, our knowledgeable attorneys can also attempt to reach a "workout" with your creditors. That is, we will attempt to negotiate settlements between you and your creditors that are satisfactory to both parties.
Contact Verona Law Group, P.A. to arrange for an initial appointment. We will answer your questions, evaluate your case, and advise you of your legal options.
We are a debt relief agency. We help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
